 Cormorants

The first 7 pictures taken at Point Lobos show Brandt's cormorants and the last 2 are Pelagic cormorants. They feed their young ones with fish. The Pelagic couple were gone 2 days later. They showed an act of affectionate bonding.

Cormorants are quite amazing birds, great flyers, amazing divers and swimmers. They dive to catch fish. Of course, if they can steal a fish from an Osprey or Pelican they do that too.

All photos from here on are Double-crested Cormorants
