first 7 pictures taken at Point Lobos show Brandt's cormorants and the
last 2 are Pelagic cormorants. They feed their young ones with fish. The
Pelagic couple were gone 2 days later. They showed an act of
affectionate bonding. |

Cormorants are quite amazing
birds, great flyers, amazing divers and swimmers. They dive to catch
fish. Of course, if they can steal a fish from an Osprey or Pelican they
do that too.
